Sampling animal feed for self-monitoring

The NORDUM Akademie has been working with the State Office of Agriculture, Food Safety, and Fishing of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (LALLF M-V) to provide courses for companies in our area to collect their own samples in animal feed for self-monitoring purposes. The DIN EN ISO 6497 stipulates that testing samples should only be collected by people who have been trained and are experienced. In this course you can improve your competence in sampling feed in order to keep check of your company’s products.

We provide open training sessions as well as in-house events which are well-received. The LALLF supports us with experience state inspectors who bring not only theoretical knowledge to the course but also a great deal of practical experience.

In the practical part of the session participants can examine different types of feed (e.g. grains) stored in bags, heaps, or storage clamps. We demonstrate the use of different types of equipment, and participants can talk about the difficulties involved in obtaining a representative sample. The instructors can give advice about measures to ensure quality control.

Our clients include:

Feed producers, companies, and providers, feed inspectors from agencies and private companies, agricultural testing and research institutes, agricultural trade companies
